Helo, i found difference, I was in store to buy them, and saw difference. There are two differences: First Orange one is made of grated leather, and second it has textile instead of leather on two places in shoe. And i found out that this boots are changed with new model Nuptse. https://uploads.disquscdn.c... I bought 62311 (brown) and it is very complicated shoe, so I need to buy another one less weight for conditions other then hard snow or high mountains.

The timing of this article is impeccably slotted.After a brutally dry early season, Taos has had a few decent snows this week w/ another predicted tomorrow. This captures the essence of Taos vividly and makes me inspired to ski up there (tomorrow, whick I will)

I prefer at least the 59, and actually went up to the 161 this year and love it. Very similar, just a liiiiittle more "meat" to it. Everyone is always trying to go smaller, but I think that's the wrong direction most of the time. I'd stick with the 59 for you, especially since a size 11 boot is already pushing it on the normal widths. That said, if you normally ride a 155-ish size with a similar narrow width, I guess it would be okay, I personally just would never go below the 59, and will probably continue to stick with the 61. Preference rules all, at the end of the day.

The sight taper and setback shape with floaty nose help maneuverability. It's not a wiggle-stick powder tree board, more of a classic freeride/mountain freestyle board. I feel like I can maneuver it quickly just as well as I can ride it fast and wide-open.

Consider setting the stance back a little bit more, if you get the 2018 or newer model... The first two models (which I'm riding in the video) were originally more set back, which I think was "correct" for the shape. Nico himself was setting them forward to be a little closer to centered, but I don't think that compliments the board. They adjusted the setback, starting this year, to match how he was setting them up. Originally, they had about 5" longer nose than tail, and now it's about half that. Pushing it closer to 5" will help with float and turning response in pow. They still have a meaty tail when set up like that. I just find it to be a much better balance for the overall shape. If you do that on the 159, you can think of it this way - The tail would be more similar to a 155 in a normal board, but then you have a longer nose in front of you. The Mullair also has a shorter effective edge than average, per size... and although I don't feel like they ride short, you technically have a little shorter edge on groomed snow, like a slightly smaller board.

Great read! Thank you for the review! How did you find the 159 with your size and weight? I am (literally) the exact size and am forced to go with the 159 due to my large feet (size 11). I think I would prefer the 155 for more maneouverability in trees. What are your thoughts? Will the 159 be okay?

I like the buds but I agree, stashing audio inside headgear is a solid idea. There are some other products that work this same thought like mentioned (Outdoor Tech Chips 2.0). But some buds, you just gotta smash!

just don't put on ski boots unless you plan to actually ski :) were stoked on all the new split stuff that's coming out. So far Spark, Union and Karakoram are the market leaders, TBD who else jumps into that realm. Most likely Plum, some other Euro Brands, Fix? Shit I want to see JF @ now make a split binding. Try not to miss next years appointment. "Fuck your F*ce" stoked to see you in Denver my friend, and fitting to be out front of The Motet, of all places.
